Well, Vox QotD, it's funny that you should ask...

Which foods do you eat a lot of? Too much of?
Submitted by Allishandra.

Even a year ago, I'd have said "pizza." Somehow I've come to a near-complete halt on my pizza intake over the past few months, but never fear: I have a new constant craving.

Chipotle restaurant steak burritos.

No, seriously. Steak burrito, black beans, no salsa, no guac, light sour cream and a bit of extra cheese. Yum.

I wager there's an intervention and twelve-step program in my future.

Do you own all the albums of any particular musical artist or group? Who?
Submitted by dutterman.

Finally, here's a QotD I can rally behind!

I own every Genesis album in some form or another, be it vinyl or cassette or CD. Related to that, I own all of the Peter Gabriel and Tony Banks solo CDs, and I might actually have all of Mike Rutherford's as well, counting "& the Mechanics" of course. (I gave up on Phil Collins' solo works after his fourth record, sorry.) I own a CD of every Midnight Oil album except for The Real Thing, which was a limited run mostly-live album. (To make up for that lack, I do have The Green Disc. Neener, neener.) I'm only missing a compilation or two of the Pet Shop Boys, and let's not go into how many PSB vinyl and CD singles are on my shelf! I have all three Tin Machine albums (which amounts to 3/5 of the David Bowie material in my collection, oddly enough), and all four of the VAST albums available on CD so far.

I'm working on finishing my Kevin Gilbert collection (I have Thud, the Thud EP and the Toy Matinee special edition release) and some day I'll be bothered to fill in the blanks in the Jethro Tull and Depeche Mode sets. I have no such ambitions where Sting, Yes or Pink Floyd are concerned.

Other than that, there aren't many artists I'm too worried about. It's just a CD here, a bit o' vinyl there, the usual hodgepodge of material.

And that's everything I can think of off the top of my head. I probably missed something, knowing me.

You know...

I read this and my mind flashes back to the 90s, specifically to evenings spent watching Babylon 5.

"Who are you?"

"What do you want?"

There are so many snarky answers to this QotD that I don't even know where to begin. So I won't. I have better things to do. I just wanted to share the B5 thing with y'all, because I'm geeky that way and I needed a couple of minutes worth of distraction from my delightful workday. Ahem.

I was 18 years old when I exchanged my first romantic kiss with a girl. I was a moping wreck for weeks afterward.

No, I don't still know her now, but I hope she's been living a good life.

What was your favorite road-trip of all time?
Submitted by bodhibound.

To answer this question, I will first refer you to an earlier QotD entry. Go ahead and read that first.

Done? Good.

I'll add that some of the highlights included: Road games. (My habit of making acronyms from the letters on license plates dates from this time). A really nifty LCD multi-game... device... of some sort which I can't remember the name of now, which involved cartridges. (I really wish I could remember what it was called!) Watching the KC Royals beat the Seattle Mariners. (I kept the cheap plastic souvenir Royals helmet for years afterward.) Seeing new places. Spelunking. Taking in sights previously only seen on television, such as Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument (back in the early, early days when you could barely make out the beginnings of the shape of things to come, mind you) and Devil's Tower. Crossing the Mississippi. Getting an up-close look at a giant pipe organ.

Good times.

How many email addresses do you have? What are they for?
Submitted by clippedwings.

Well, let's see. There's my main personal address, there's my very first personal address from lo the many years ago (which I still maintain), there's my work address, there's my Gmail address (mainly used for online support & shopping accounts)... and I think that's all of them. If I have more, I don't know about or use them for anything.
